Evergreen Empowerment
The Evergreen Empowerment Group (EEG) was founded with the goal of addressing the significant barriers that many individuals face in achieving personal and economic success. Recognizing that past criminal convictions and a lack of resources for business start-ups often prevent underrepresented and overburdened community members from obtaining gainful employment and safe, affordable housing, EEG was established to provide the necessary support and resources to overcome these obstacles.
EEG focuses on creating an inclusive and equitable community by addressing the systemic issues that hinder personal and professional growth. Our organization is committed to empowering individuals to overcome legal barriers, regain their standing in society, and enhance their self-esteem as valued community members. By fostering economic opportunities, especially for BIPOC individuals, EEG aims to promote long-term, sustainable change.
Mission
The Evergreen Empowerment Group (EEG) is a pioneering non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting our community by providing crucial resources and information about the legal system to low-income citizens, military service members (active or retired), and individuals from diverse social classes and ethnicities. Our mission is to empower those facing legal barriers, helping them regain their standing in employment, education, and housing. We strive to reduce the stigma and crisis many low-income citizens experience and enhance their self-esteem as valued members of society. Additionally, we offer opportunities for BIPOC community members to establish their own for-profit or non-profit businesses, fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency.
Vision
Our vision is to reset the opportunity clock for frontline community members, enabling them to create, innovate, and actively dismantle systemic racism through anti-racist ideology. By addressing critical barriers, we aim to build a society where every individual, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully.
